Noteworthy techniques in Brazilian craftwork include ceramics, basketweaving, lace, weaving (mostly of hammocks and nets) and wood, stone and leather artifacts. There are art fairs throughout the country, sometimes referred to as "Feiras Hippies" (hippy fairs), each boasting the standard esthetic character of its region.
